Bridge Design Engineer

COWI A/S is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team in North America. As a key member of our bridge design team, you will be responsible for coordinating project deliverables, schedules, and budgets, as well as planning and developing engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct teams of engineers and technicians in producing drawings and calculations, and supervise, coordinate, and review the work of other engineers.
- Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets, and perform structural analysis, design, evaluation, and prepare calculations and drawings.
- Prepare standard documents, such as technical specifications, and engineering reports and other technical documents.
- Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact, and liaise with other professionals, clients, and third parties as needed.
- A master's degree in Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of related experience in Bridge Design and Project Management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience in bridge projects with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors, the City of Edmonton, and the City of Calgary.
- Proven technical expertise, demonstrated experience supervising tasks in bridge design and construction, and working knowledge of modern bridge design codes.
- A Professional Engineer License (P.Eng) in Alberta, or the ability to obtain.
- Experience with 3D structural modeling with analysis software such as CSI Bridge, Sofistik, and ADINA.
- Experience with preparing proposals, and the ability to develop business development activities.
