Key Responsibilities- Inspect Contractor's work to ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications.
- Assist with site investigations and project team-initiated changes.
- Coordinate with the project delivery team and contractor to obtain required permits.
- Prepare daily inspection reports and photos.
- Monitor work progress and document delays.
- Field verify and document installed quantities.
- Inspect temporary silt fencing and erosion control measures.
- Attend progress and coordination meetings.
- Coordinate testing and inspections with labs and contractors.
- Witness field and factory tests and document results.
- Assist with reviewing pay applications.
- Minimize impacts to the project team, public, and stakeholders.
- Assist with testing, startup, and commissioning of new systems.
- Assist with project close-out and evaluating contractor claims.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in general heavy civil construction.
- Knowledge of CSI divisions and construction methods.
- Proficiency with reading and understanding plans and specifications.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and database entry.
- Prior experience with large capital improvement projects.
- Meet required provincial safety training.
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in civil engineering.
