CB Canada, a prominent player in the industry, is in search of a dedicated Cost Accounting Specialist to enhance its financial team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly financial reports;
- Lead the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts;
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators while innovating new standards;
- Analyze and interpret variances in production costs;
- Update and maintain standard cost records;
- Examine profit margins across various programs;
- Supervise the management and reconciliation of accounting records related to inventory and work in progress;
- Keep comprehensive records of fixed assets and conduct thorough account analyses;
- Review and validate investment proposals;
- Analyze and prepare departmental expense reports;
- Calculate labor rates accurately;
- Engage in inventory counting programs;
- Assist in estimating costs for new product lines;
- Support the implementation and utilization of ERP and BI management systems;
- Lead or participate in special financial projects;
- Ensure precise accounting transactions for month-end processes;
- Engage in activities related to audits by government agencies and external auditors.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation (preferred);
- Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sectors (highly valued);
- A minimum of 3 years in a comparable cost accounting role;
- Familiarity with IFRS standards;
- Proficient in advanced Excel functions;
- Bilingual proficiency.
