Fish Processing Plant Worker

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team at Quin-Sea Fisheries as a Fish Processing Plant Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for unloading fish and shellfish from fishing vessels and transporting them to the work area. You will also use a forklift to transport unloaded fish and shellfish, condition fish filets for wrapping or freezing, and weigh and pack fish in ice.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is noisy, with odours, cold/refrigerated temperatures, and wet/damp conditions. You will be working outdoors and will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel. The weight handling capacity is up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and reliability
- Ability to work in a team environment
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience
- Health care plan
- On-site housing options
- 30 to 60 hours per week
