About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Mr. Lube + Tires + Maintenance + Repair. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting and troubleshooting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend repairs.
  • Troubleshooting: Use computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults and malfunctions, and determine the extent of repair required.
  • Parts Management: Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring that the necessary materials are available for repairs.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Adjust and repair or replace defective parts, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is running efficiently.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including test results and repair histories.
  • Quality Control: Test repaired equipment to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications and is of high quality.
  • Housekeeping: Clean and lubricate equipment, and perform other maintenance tasks as required.
  • Specialized Tasks: Service attachments and working tools, and verify and repair emission control systems.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
