Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including acute, transitional, personal care home, and home care. As a key member of the healthcare team, the RN/RPN applies the nursing process to support clients in achieving their optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing practices, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
- Proficiency in both official languages (English/French) is essential.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) and the scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification and Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) certification.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
The RN/RPN will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The position involves frequent communication with clients, families, and healthcare providers, as well as participation in quality improvement initiatives.
