Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including acute, transitional, personal care home, and home care services. As a key member of the healthcare team, the RN/RPN applies the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining their optimal level of health.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients/residents/patients and their families.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing practices, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
- Proficiency in both official languages (English/French) is essential.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) and the scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) certification.
- Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
The RN/RPN will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The position involves working with diverse populations, including clients/residents/patients with complex needs. The RN/RPN must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients/residents/patients, families, and healthcare teams. A valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00 are required for this position.
