Job Description

Standard BioTools is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory Control Intern. As a key member of our reagent manufacturing group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately and efficiently perform daily functions related to order outflow and inflow within the reagent manufacturing group.
  • Document processes, collect and analyze data, and interact with employees and leaders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Revise Manufacturing Batch Records (MBR) and label template documents to reflect changes in our rebranding feature.
  • Update Bill of Materials (BOM) based on provided information and upload to our system.
  • Assist with consumable inventory management by physically moving boxes and tracking quantities and locations.
  • Perform cycle counts of raw material, Working in Progress (WIP), and finished goods.
  • Maintain and organize the work area to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a university program.
  • Background in Biology, Biochemistry, or a similar Life Science is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Basic data mining and analysis skills are preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, move about the facility.
  • Work performed in a combination of shipping, manufacturing, and office environments.
  • Ability to quickly familiarize with products and part numbers.
