Position: Medical Oncologist

Department: Medical Oncology & Hematology

The Medical Oncology and Hematology Department at CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB), in collaboration with Shared Health and the Section of Hematology/Oncology from the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba, is looking for a qualified Medical Oncologist for a full-time geographical role.

Our department comprises a team of 43 professionals across three CCMB locations, actively engaged in clinical and fundamental research in areas such as medical oncology, cancer quality of life, health services research, and cancer epidemiology. We provide exceptional opportunities for innovative clinical and/or basic research, either independently or in partnership with the CancerCare Manitoba Research Institute.

The ideal candidate will deliver exemplary care to patients facing malignant conditions as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities will also include participation in the educational initiatives of CCMB and the University of Manitoba, along with collaboration in oncology-related clinical or fundamental research endeavors.

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess specialty qualifications in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology in their current country of practice and be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Certification in Medical Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred. Alternative qualifications may be considered, although this could impact eligibility for a University appointment.

This position is associated with a University of Manitoba academic appointment. Compensation and rank will be aligned with experience and qualifications, with competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits packages available. All qualified individuals are encouraged to express their interest.
