About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at NBS Steel Framing & Drywall Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Review blueprints and specifications to understand project requirements
    • Measure and mark drywall sheets for accurate cutting and installation
  • Installation
    • Install drywall sheets on metal or wooden studs or joists
    • Position and secure sheets to ensure a smooth and even surface
  • Finishing
    • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
    • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
  • Maintenance
    • Inspect and repair drywall surfaces as needed
    • Ensure all work meets company quality standards
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to work at heights and on scaffolding
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions
  • 40 hours per week
  • Work Term: Permanent
