About This Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Worker's Compensation Claims Manager to oversee our company-wide claims management programs, ensuring efficient and compliant handling of all worker's compensation cases.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for managing worker's compensation claims across all provinces.
- Administer and monitor the effectiveness of our return-to-work program, minimizing lost time and associated costs.
- Collaborate with third-party administrators to ensure timely and accurate claim handling, adhering to provincial legislation and best practices.
- Conduct thorough reviews of functional abilities, physical demands analysis, and job descriptions to create effective return-to-work plans.
- Lead projects aimed at continuous improvement within our claims management processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including HR and operations teams, to foster a collaborative approach to claims management.
- Analyze claim data and trends, providing insightful reports and recommendations to the business.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as human resources or risk management.
- 5+ years of experience managing worker's compensation claims and return-to-work programs across multiple provinces.
- Proven expertise in provincial Workers Compensation Board regulations and disability management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
