Job Overview

CPP Investments is in search of a dedicated Analyst to become a part of our Expense Operations team within the Corporate Services, Technology & Operations division. This role is designed for a contract period and includes comprehensive benefits. The Analyst will report directly to the Associate of Expense Operations and will play a crucial role in the complete expense processing cycle within the organization. Key responsibilities include managing invoice processing, recording intercompany transactions, and aiding in month-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in accounting operations, excellent communication abilities, and a capacity to excel in a dynamic team environment.

The position requires close collaboration with the Expense Operations team and various internal departments to guarantee efficient and precise expense processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee global vendor payments associated with investment expenses
  • Accurately process investment-related invoices in a timely manner
  • Provide assistance to stakeholders regarding expense-related queries
  • Manage journal entries, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations
  • Support various projects and initiatives linked to expense processing
  • Develop and implement new procedures and controls to ensure adherence to policies
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required to adapt to changing processes and technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable role, ideally within corporate or investment finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexible and adaptable to a changing business and technological landscape
  • Demonstrates integrity, partnership, and a commitment to high performance
