Interior Health Authority is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex projects from concept to successful implementation and review. As a trusted project management leader, you will facilitate the increased awareness and understanding of project management, participate in the continuous evolution of the practice, and balance standards and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project planning, coordination, execution, and close-out of strategic projects that deliver valuable information and solutions for Interior Health, other BC Health Organizations, government partners, and citizens of British Columbia.
- Collaborate with the IMIT Project Management Office (PMO) and facilitate the development and adoption of new processes and tools to support continuous improvement within the IMIT PMO framework.
- Develop and implement change management strategies and plans, and manage the process of change that will be affected by the project.
- Provide leadership and support to project initiators to ensure alignment with established standards and drive the project through to success.
- Develop and foster collaborative relationships with key internal and external project partners to manage expectations and requirements related to the initiatives.
- Prepare and manage operational and capital budgets for assigned projects.
- Work with software vendors and other external service providers to negotiate contract terms and pricing and resolve complex and/or tentative service issues.
- Develop, implement, and monitor standards for service and performance; evaluate and effect changes as needed to improve services; simplify workflow; and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate open project practice communication and discussion with key business partners.
- Participate on internal and external committees representing Interior Health as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have senior-level experience in project management, with a strong background in leading large, complex projects. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. The candidate will also have a strong understanding of project management methodologies, standards, and tools, and be able to develop and implement effective change management strategies.
