Job Title: Senior Care Manager

Join Senior Helpers - Kelowna in making a difference in the lives of seniors. As a Senior Care Manager, you will be the key liaison between our clients, their families, and our team of caregivers.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a field that truly makes a difference. As a Senior Care Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our services are delivered with excellence and that our clients' needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial assessments and develop personalized care plans for new clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and their families to ensure satisfaction with services.
  • Supervise and support the caregiving team, providing guidance and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Coordinate with medical professionals, therapists, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as needed.
  • Manage client records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Handle client inquiries and address concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Participate in recruitment, training, and evaluation of caregivers.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and client-centered care within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial laws, regulations, and Senior Helpers policies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the senior care industry.
  • Strong understanding of senior care practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Experience with WellSky client management software would be an asset.
