About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Farm Laborer to join our team at Golden Gate Mayfield Limited. As a Farm Laborer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our farm, from planting and cultivating crops to harvesting and packaging produce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant, Cultivate, and Irrigate Crops: Plant seeds, tend to crops, and ensure they receive adequate water and nutrients.
  • Harvest and Process Produce: Harvest crops at the right time, clean and grade produce, and pack it for market.
  • Maintain Farm Equipment and Facilities: Clean and maintain farm equipment, tools, and facilities to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Monitor Crop Health: Regularly inspect crops for signs of disease or pests and take action to prevent damage.
  • Assist with Loading and Unloading: Help load and unload crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken on the farm.
  • Work Environment: The farm is located outdoors, and the work environment can be wet, damp, and dusty.
  • Work Setting: Room and board are provided, and the farm is located in an urban area.
