Overview of Responsibilities
The primary role of the employee in this position involves the planning and execution of a variety of social, cultural, and athletic activities tailored for diverse groups. This is done with consideration for their interests and the established guidelines, serving as an enhancement to educational programs or primarily as recreational opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
The individual in this role is actively involved in the development and delivery of sports and cultural activity initiatives, including but not limited to music, theater, film, visual arts, exhibitions, sports competitions, and physical fitness programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and planning activities, creating program schedules, and ensuring effective operations.
- Communicating the nature, goals, and rules of activities to participants.
- Recognizing and addressing any unusual situations, reporting them to the appropriate authorities as per established protocols.
- Utilizing facilitation techniques to support groups in organizing and executing leisure activities.
In residential settings, the employee is expected to provide guidance and support to students regarding various aspects of residence life. This may involve liaising with school staff and, when necessary, parents to address specific issues or situations.
In accordance with established policies, the employee may also be tasked with responsibilities related to information dissemination, including managing publicity committees, creating bulletins, and coordinating news releases for local media.
Furthermore, the employee plays a role in selecting and recommending equipment and materials for group use, considering both quality and cost. They are responsible for overseeing the maintenance of equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient usage.
Additionally, the employee may be called upon to mentor less experienced technicians and coordinate the efforts of support staff in executing programs that involve technical operations under their purview.
Finally, the employee may be required to undertake any other related duties as necessary.
