Job Summary

BCIT's in-house Auxiliary Trades Support Services is seeking skilled and versatile individuals to work in a variety of temporary assignments across our campuses. As a key member of our team, you will provide support in labour work, general maintenance, and mechanical work, as well as serve as a tool room attendant and first aid attendant. Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, serving our workforce at various campuses with placements ranging from a few hours to several months in duration.
  • Provide support where employees are absent due to sick leave, vacation, or to assist with heavy workloads.
  • Work independently and as a team member, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to be called in on short notice and work at various campus locations.
  • Meet the minimum qualifications, including Grade 12 plus 6 months post-secondary education and/or training, or two years of general work experience plus one year of experience in trades environments.
  • Hold a valid BC driver's license and possess knowledge of mechanical maintenance and hand tools.
  • Be customer-service oriented and have a working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office package.
