POSITION SUMMARY

Vertex is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Class 1 Fluids Operator. This full-time position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in the Grande Prairie area, with the potential to earn competitive compensation.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Possession of a valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in driving tank trucks for fluid transportation preferred
  • Proficient in operating Tri-Axle units and Super B trucks
  • Safety certifications such as First Aid/CPR, Construction Safety Training (CSTS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and H2S Alive are advantageous
  • Strong commitment to environmental compliance and safe operational practices
  • Ability to work autonomously while effectively managing time and productivity
  • Capable of performing physical tasks including lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, and crouching
  • Willingness to respond to after-hours calls and occasionally spend nights in the vehicle
  • High reliability and integrity in all job functions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to weight restrictions and proper use of company equipment
  • Follow all company policies, health and safety regulations, and transportation laws
  • Complete scheduled deliveries and services punctually
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Accurately complete and manage all necessary paperwork including daily logs and trip reports
  • Comply with all local, provincial, and federal regulations
  • Conduct pre and post-trip inspections and maintain company vehicles according to established guidelines
  • Adhere to all operational guidelines and safety protocols
  • Observe and implement environmental health and safety practices
