POSITION SUMMARY

Vertex is actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of Class 1 Fluids Operator. This full-time position offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team in a rewarding environment, with competitive earning potential exceeding industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Possession of a valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in driving tank trucks for fluid transportation preferred
  • Proficient in operating Tri-Axle units and Super B trucks
  • Relevant safety certifications, including First Aid/CPR, Construction Safety Training (CSTS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and H2S Alive
  • Strong commitment to environmental standards and safe operational practices
  • Ability to work autonomously while effectively managing time and productivity
  • Physical capability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, and crouching
  • Willingness to respond to after-hours calls and occasionally spend nights in the vehicle
  • Demonstrated reliability and integrity in all work activities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to weight regulations and optimizing the use of company equipment
  • Follow all company policies, health and safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • Complete scheduled deliveries and services punctually
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through exceptional service
  • Accurately complete and manage all necessary documentation, including daily logs and trip reports
  • Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal compliance regulations
  • Conduct pre and post-trip inspections, perform routine maintenance, and maintain cleanliness of vehicles
  • Follow all operational guidelines and safety procedures
  • Uphold environmental health and safety standards in all activities
