Restaurant Manager Job Description

Sutton Park Inn is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff performance, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and improve daily operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Monitor and manage staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and supply ordering.
  • Set and manage staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service.
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure seamless execution.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews to assess staff performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed and that the restaurant is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for food and other supplies, and negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote the restaurant and attract new customers.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage events and functions, including weddings, corporate events, and private parties.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
Work Environment:

The restaurant is located in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods. Public transportation is available.
