Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Specialist to provide nurturing care for children in a home environment. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the well-being and development of children.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in childcare is considered an asset.
Work Environment

The position is based in the employer's home, providing a comfortable and familiar setting for the children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Discipline children in accordance with parental guidelines.
  • Instruct children on personal hygiene and social skills.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy atmosphere within the home.
  • Organize engaging activities, including games and outings.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to promote healthy eating habits.
  • Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Transport children to and from school and appointments as needed.
  • Support the emotional well-being of children.
  • Assist children with their homework and educational tasks.
Additional Information
  • Availability: Candidates should be open to shift or on-call work.
  • Support for Newcomers: No prior Canadian work experience is required.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Hiring policies are in place to prevent age discrimination.
  • Employment Duration: Temporary position.
  • Language of Work: English.
  • Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
