Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join our team at Acacia. As a key member of our Mixed Signal Design team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-speed analog circuits for our optical communications products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-speed analog circuits for optical communications products
  • Collaborate with packaging and hardware design teams to ensure signal and power integrity specifications are met
  • Lead efforts for large blocks on complex chips, mentor team members, and track deliverables
  • Participate in peer review of complex IC designs and provide solid design methodology from conception to production
Requirements
  • BSEE degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent, an MS degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent, or a PhD with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent
  • Design, simulation, and measurement of high-speed ICs in at least 3 areas: high-speed serial links, voltage regulators, high-performance output drivers, high-performance phase-locked loops, efficient clock transmission/propagation, opamps, and programmable gain amplifiers
  • Direct experience with electrical transceiver applications, including backplane and cable communications
  • Experience with FinFET technology
Preferred Requirements
  • High-frequency layout experience, including passive component design, floorplanning, and design for manufacturability
  • Laboratory validation experience, including solid ESD laboratory practices and methodology
  • Software experience with Cadence, Spectre, and Matlab
