Job Title: Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design

Acacia is seeking a highly skilled Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Mixed Signal Design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-speed analog circuits for optical communications products.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect, design, layout, measure, and productize ultra-deep sub-micron-based CMOS products
  • Collaborate with packaging and hardware design teams to ensure signal and power integrity specifications are met
  • Work on large blocks for complex chips and ensure seamless integration with ASICs
  • Develop high-speed analog circuits for optical communications products
Requirements:
  • BSEE degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent, an MS degree with 4+ years of experience, or equivalent
  • Design, simulation, and measurement of high-speed ICs in at least 3 areas: high-speed serial links, voltage regulators, high-performance output drivers, high-performance phase-locked loops, efficient clock transmission/propagation, opamps, and programmable gain amplifiers, and equalization techniques
  • Direct experience with electrical transceiver applications, including backplane and cable communications
  • Experience with FinFET technology
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High-frequency layout experience, including passive component design, floorplanning, and custom transistor layout
  • Design for manufacturability, including characterization over PVT, electromigration analysis, power and IR drop analysis, and laboratory validation
  • Experience with Cadence (Virtuoso), Spectre/APS/SpectreX, layout validation tools (Virtuoso or Calibre), post-layout extraction (Virtuoso or Calibre), EMX, mixed-signal simulations in AMS-Matlab
