About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team at B+H Architects. As a key member of our Healthcare Interior Design team, you will be responsible for leading the interior design process and delivering world-class facilities that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Oversee the interior design process and deliverables, establish project direction, and work within project budgets and schedules for large-scale healthcare projects in North America.
  • Client Engagement: Meet with clients to analyze their goals, needs, and resources, and provide expert advice on interior design solutions.
  • Team Management: Manage multiple projects and a team of intermediate and junior designers, delegating tasks and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Design Expertise: Understand the requirements of the plans, life safety issues, building codes, and other technical aspects, and provide expert advice on design, drawing, and details, finishes, and building materials.
  • Conceptual Design: Provide world-class conceptual design leadership, inspiring teams to continually strive for design excellence, and deliver spaces that exceed client expectations.
  • Construction Administration: Prepare and administer construction documents, including plans, elevations, details, and specifications, and manage requirements for materials, products, finishes, furniture selection, specifications, and layouts.
  • Contract Administration: Administer contract documents, bids, and negotiations as the client's consultant, and coordinate and collaborate with other design professionals as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree or diploma from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design program.
  • Experience: Minimum 9 years of industry experience in healthcare interior design, with experience working on P3 healthcare projects.
  • Certifications: Membership with ARIDO (or other relevant regulatory body) and NCIDQ certification.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with excellent time management and organizational skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, Windows, and 3D graphic programs.
