About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Field Appraiser to support our GTA region, conducting thorough inspections and evaluations of vehicle damages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field inspections to assess mechanical or physical damages to various vehicles, including cars, light trucks, snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, and trailers.
  • Negotiate and communicate repair practices and procedures with shop owners and managers.
  • Maintain current knowledge of insurance products, appraisal techniques, and services.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with repair facilities and service providers.
  • Conduct re-inspections to ensure satisfactory completion of repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with claims departments and coach other appraisers and adjusters as needed.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or university degree, or equivalent trade's person license, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience (dealer or collision center).
  • 3-5 years of experience in collision estimating (Audatex preferred).
  • Autobody license preferred (not mandatory).
  • Clean driver's abstract.
  • Ability to prepare auto repair estimates using Audatex Estimating Software.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Effective verbal communication skills, including interviewing, coaching, and dealing with insureds.
