About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at SK Power Drive Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including hydraulic and transmission systems, engines, and running gears.
  • Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed to ensure the efficient operation of our equipment.
  • Change engine oil and lubricate moving parts to prevent wear and tear on our equipment.
  • Grease and maintain the components of our heavy equipment, including booms, pulleys, and buckets.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Meet deadlines and work overtime as required to ensure our equipment is always operational.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for transportation.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles for personal protection.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and components, with a minimum weight of 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
