About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Smith + Andersen. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical building systems for various projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our designs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical building systems, including electrical distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that electrical systems are integrated with other building systems.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that electrical systems are installed and functioning correctly.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of electrical building systems and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and clients.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design and engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical building systems, including electrical distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other design software.
