About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and attentive Food Server to provide exceptional dining experiences for VIP guests at Cirque du Soleil. As a VIP Food Server, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch customer service, attending to the specific needs of our guests, and anticipating their preferences.

Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt, professional, and efficient service to all customers
  • Respond to customer needs, requests, complaints, and other unusual situations
  • Offer personalized service and use the customer's name (where possible)
  • Observe customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain strict cleanliness of the VIP area
Requirements
  • Welcome guests at the VIP tent entrance with an entrance drink
  • Pass food to guests throughout the VIP tent and the attached terraces
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests (market dependent)
  • Clean coffee area, food service areas, and VIP (in general)
  • Clear and clean tables of food, drink, and general garbage
  • Fills up beverage fridges and food stations
  • Replenishes bars and food stations with napkins and utensils
  • Ensure hand-washing stations are always in order and with soap and paper towel
  • Perform inventory on supplies and food
  • Change garbage, compost, and recycle bags, and throw out into assigned bins
  • Assist dishwasher as needed
  • Prepare VIP area by cleaning, vacuuming, and placing furniture
  • Participate in the setup and tear down of the kitchen and catering areas
  • Assist other areas as needed
  • Have a professional, clean appearance with a straight posture
  • Be physically able to stand up for long hours
  • Understand customer service and hospitality
  • Pay attention to details, work fast, and efficiently under pressure
  • Have a welcoming and friendly attitude (smile and proper greetings)
  • Work well with others and know when to get the help of a supervisor
  • Possess the ability to learn a point-of-sale system and retain the information
  • Availability for the whole city duration
  • Speak English - other languages are an asset
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
