Role Overview: As a vital member of the Information Services division, the Senior Security Advisor will report to the Manager of Cyber Defense & Identity Access Management and will collaborate closely with the Chief Technology Officer. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing Information Security Strategies, overseeing Solutions Delivery, and ensuring Operations Governance.

The Senior Security Advisor is recognized as the organizational authority in the realm of Information Security. They will engage with various stakeholders to align technological advancements with business objectives while adhering to the organization's IT and management strategies. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and report on information security risks, vulnerabilities, and breaches, providing actionable recommendations for risk management.
  • Develop and uphold information security governance, policies, and controls in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Support the formulation and execution of strategic and operational plans for Information Security.
  • Implement best practices to ensure a consistent security architecture across all technology platforms.
  • Ensure continuous operation of information security and privacy functions.
  • Lead forensic investigations on security incidents as necessary.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
  • Foster a culture of information security awareness throughout the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security trends and emerging threats.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Information Security, with a focus on client/server, network, or application security.
  • Familiarity with information security frameworks and auditing standards.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP are advantageous.
  • Educational background in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with identity and access management systems.
  • Knowledge of application security practices and network security engineering.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and database technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
