About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Darlene's Home Support Services Inc. as a Home Support Worker. In this role, you will provide high-quality personal care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Household Support: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and meal preparation.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to our clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and exercise.
  • Medication Management: Assist clients with medication administration and management.
  • Transportation: Accompany clients on outings and provide transportation to appointments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Clients' homes, with occasional work in our office.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending, with the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
