  1. Technical Operations & Management
    1. Oversee a range of transportation and traffic planning initiatives, including traffic assessments, parking evaluations, road safety inspections, signage and pavement marking assessments, community traffic management, and transportation demand strategies.
    2. Assist Dillon's top technical personnel in executing projects for diverse public and private sector clients.
    3. Offer technical insights on various projects as part of interdisciplinary teams, including planners, project engineers, environmental specialists, and technologists.
    4. Participate in proposal development and support other marketing and administrative tasks.
  2. Professional Growth & Development
    1. Dedicate yourself to continuous learning and professional enhancement.
    2. Support the career advancement of junior staff through technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship.

Qualifications
A degree in civil engineering or urban planning, or a diploma in civil engineering technology with a focus on transportation.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Eligible for licensure in Ontario as a Professional Engineer, Registered Professional Planner, or Certified Engineering Technologist, or able to qualify within six months.
Experience
The ideal candidate should exhibit a strong interest and expertise in some or all of the following areas:
  • Transportation impact assessments
  • Parking evaluations
  • Road safety assessments
  • Traffic calming evaluations
  • Warrant analysis for traffic control devices
  • Familiarity with intersection performance software such as Synchro and SIDRA
  • Active transportation and transportation demand management (TDM) initiatives
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Strong report writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills
