Job Title: Process Specialist

Cheme Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Process Specialist to join our team. As a Process Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and efficient installation of equipment.
  • Select and size equipment, develop P&IDs, and execute engineering calculations.
  • Prepare construction specifications, user requirements, and functional specifications.
  • Develop commissioning and validation protocols.
  • Attend factory acceptance testing and on-site commissioning and validation activities.
  • Travel to client sites for site review and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Applied Science degree in engineering from a recognized Canadian university.
  • Ability to register with the Professional Engineer's of Ontario as an Engineer in Training.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of industrial work experience in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering.
  • Experience with engineering calculations, equipment sizing, specifications, process flow diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Experience with commissioning of systems, startup, and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Adept at dealing with clients and other people in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Valid driver's license and owner of a car.
