Job Summary:
The Produce Clerk is a key member of our Thrifty Foods team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks, including ordering, receiving, and merchandising produce products, as well as providing superior customer service and promoting featured products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to meet customer needs and foster customer loyalty.
- Produce Management: Order, receive, and merchandise produce products in accordance with company inventory control procedures.
- Store Maintenance: Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, keeping work areas clean and presentable as per Company requirements.
- Training and Development: Participate in the training of junior staff and contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
Requirements:
- Communication Skills: Above average communication skills (oral and written) to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 20lbs, stand for long periods of time, and complete physical work including but not limited to bending, lifting, and reaching.
