About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our provincial accreditation efforts and provide leadership in quality and patient safety services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare accreditation, quality improvement, and patient safety, with a proven track record of developing and implementing comprehensive accreditation plans.

The Provincial Lead Accreditation will be responsible for leading NSHA's overall provincial responsibility for accreditation and developing strategies, goals, and objectives to support the mandate and delivery of provincially integrated health programs and services. This position will also provide leadership in Nova Scotia Health's overall provincial responsibility for accreditation and for the identification and implementation of strategies, goals, and objectives to support the mandate and delivery of provincially integrated health programs and services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accreditation standards, quality improvement, and patient safety principles, as well as experience in leading teams and collaborating with stakeholders. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and empower teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, participatory manner.

About You
  • Undergraduate degree in a health discipline or other related field required, Master's level preparation in Health or Public Administration or a related program an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience involved in planning and implementing a variety of strategic activities related to accreditation, patient safety, quality improvement, risk management, infection prevention and control, and patient relations, provided across several locations with multiple partners and stakeholders required
  • Certificate or training related to accreditation, quality, patient safety, risk, infection prevention and control or related program an asset
  • Certified Health Executive is an asset
  • Experience engaging, mentoring and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, participatory manner to respond to the mission, vision, goals and objectives of integrated organizations and developing programs and standards to support the vision, goals and objectives of a healthcare organization
  • Proficiencies in other languages an asset; French preferred
Hours
  • Permanent, full-time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

$53.91 - $67.39 Hourly
