Position Overview: Reporting to the Nurse Manager Clinics, the Supervisor of Client Flow is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the Clinics. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the scheduling of support staff.
  2. Providing orientation and training for new support personnel.
  3. Ensuring the proper handling of time-sensitive clinical samples and specimens.
  4. Preparing requisitions for the procurement of supplies and equipment while adhering to budget constraints.
  5. Handling payroll preparation and submission to the Manager.
  6. Maintaining documentation related to leave and attendance.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) diploma from an accredited institution, complemented by two years of experience in medical office or clinic settings, including at least one year in a supervisory role. Candidates must be eligible for registration with the College and Association of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (CANNN). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and annual recertification are mandatory.

This role is classified as Highly Sensitive, necessitating a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.

Additional Requirements: COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory condition of employment. Proof of vaccination must accompany the application.

The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English, and French. Applicants are encouraged to submit their resumes in any of these languages. Proficiency in multiple official languages is considered an asset, along with knowledge of Inuit culture and experience in a northern cross-cultural environment.
