Job Title: Manager, Membership & Fundraising Events

The Royal Conservatory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Membership & Fundraising Events. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization and make a meaningful impact in the world of music education.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to lead our fundraising and membership efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to raise funds in support of The Royal Conservatory and its programs. This will involve planning and executing exceptional fundraising events, as well as growing and managing our integrated mid-level donor program, The Conservatory Circle.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy that meets the organization's revenue objectives
  • Plan and execute fundraising events, including galas, dinners, and concerts
  • Grow and manage The Conservatory Circle, our integrated mid-level donor program
  • Secure sponsorships and gifts, conduct event ticket sales, and coordinate solicitations
  • Oversee event logistics, negotiate contracts with external suppliers, and manage a portfolio of existing and potential fundraising events
  • Develop and evaluate new event ideas and initiatives to support revenue generation
  • Manage a comprehensive prospect pipeline and implement new initiatives to broaden the RCM events demographic
  • Identify and develop data and reporting tools needed to ensure effective and comprehensive event planning, execution, and analysis
Requirements
  • Minimum seven years of relevant experience in professional fundraising and development, including demonstrated experience specializing in event fundraising and membership programs
  • Direct fundraising event management experience, including working with senior volunteers and committees, budgeting, record keeping, and logistical aspects of an event
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills, combined with a demonstrated ability to successfully build relationships with corporate decision-makers and solicit sponsorships
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information
  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong commitment to exceptional work quality and ethics, high degree of professionalism, and ability to set priorities and achieve goals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, exhibits sound judgment and tact, and works effectively and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience working with fundraising metrics, including the ability to analyze data to create and advance strategic fundraising plans
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and donor database for tracking prospect activity
  • Experience with donation receipting and CRA rulings as it relates to events
What We Offer

The Royal Conservatory offers a competitive salary range of $72,000 - $85,000 per annum, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
