About the Opportunity

The Royal Conservatory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Fundraising and Membership Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the organization's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support The Royal Conservatory's programs and initiatives.
  • Manage and execute all aspects of fundraising events, including event planning, budgeting, and logistics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and stakeholders to secure funding and support.
  • Develop and implement a membership program to engage and retain members, and to increase revenue.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director, Annual Giving to develop and implement a comprehensive prospect pipeline and to identify new fundraising opportunities.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing and potential fundraising events, within annual budget allocation.
  • Develop and implement data and reporting tools to ensure effective and comprehensive event planning, execution, and analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with new fundraising industry trends, issues, and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Minimum seven years of relevant experience in professional fundraising and development, including demonstrated experience in event fundraising and membership programs.
  • Direct fundraising event management experience, including working with and supporting senior volunteers and committees, budgeting, record keeping, and all logistical aspects of an event.
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills, combined with a demonstrated ability to successfully build relationships with corporate decision-makers, solicit sponsorships, and develop opportunities for support.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment, along with the ability to think strategically and creatively solve problems independently in a timely fashion.
  • Strong commitment to exceptional work quality and ethics; high degree of professionalism, ability to set priorities and achieve goals, strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, exhibits sound judgment and tact, work effectively and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including volunteers, donors, staff, and vendors.
  • Experience working with fundraising metrics, including the ability to analyze data to create and advance strategic fundraising plans.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat Reader, and high degree of comfort with using a donor database for tracking prospect activity. Raiser's Edge experience considered an asset.
  • Experience with donation receipting and CRA rulings as it relates to events (tickets, sponsorships, and gifts-in-kind).
  • CFRE designation considered an asset.
What We Offer
  • $72,000 - $85,000 per annum.
  • Able to support department by attending events occurring on weekday evenings and weekends.
