- Strategic Account Planning: Develop new business, grow account portfolio, and retain customer accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within assigned territory.
- Customer-Centric Solutions: Evaluate customer business needs and analyze market trends to develop product and service solutions.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services.
- Sales Technology and Resources: Leverage sales technology and business resources to provide end-to-end sales consultative services.
- Credit and Accounts Receivables Management: Manage customer credit and accounts receivables to ensure timely payment and minimize bad debt.
- Territory and Market Share Growth: Utilize PMT & Deal Manager to support territory and market share growth.
- Pricing Management and Strategy: Oversee pricing management and strategy for the territory to ensure optimal pricing and revenue growth.
- Results Tracking and Collaboration: Track activities and results, collaborate on opportunities, and champion the team selling process through use of Salesforce (Sysco's CRM tool).
- Autonomy and Flexibility: May be required to work non-traditional hours, while also providing a level of individual autonomy to support and successfully meet customer needs.
- Food Safety and Quality: Comply with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality, and legality requirements are met.
- Minimum of 2 Years' Experience in Sales: Proven track record of success in sales, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales role.
- Post-Secondary Education or Equivalent Experience: Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent experience; CPSA designation is preferred.
- Business Acumen and Financial Skills: Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to properly plan and execute business plans.
- Consultative Selling and Networking Skills: Demonstrated skills in consultative selling, networking, and negotiations.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and influence a variety of key stakeholders.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analyzing reports and deriving insights from data.
- Microsoft Applications Suite: Proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required.
