Part-Time Administrative Clerk

Position Overview
We are seeking dynamic and adaptable individuals to fill multiple casual roles within the City of Kelowna's Police Services. This opportunity allows administrative professionals to gain valuable experience while supporting various initiatives and programs within the Police Services sector.
Role Purpose
The primary aim of this position is to provide essential clerical support for casual assignments. Successful candidates may find opportunities for permanent roles within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks including reception duties, data entry, and customer service.
- Maintain effective communication and demonstrate strong multi-tasking abilities.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are met consistently.
- Demonstrate typing proficiency (minimum 45 WPM) and familiarity with computer applications, preferably MS Office.
Work Environment
This role requires flexibility in working hours, as assignments may occur during days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be prepared to work full office hours as needed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous office or clerical experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective customer service skills.
Additional Information
Successful candidates will be required to obtain a valid Enhanced RCMP Security Clearance. Physical demands include prolonged sitting and the ability to move file boxes as necessary.
