About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clothing Designer to join our team at East End Tailoring Ltd. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and stylish clothing designs that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design and develop clothing collections that are on-trend, yet timeless and classic.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior designers and staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Teaching and Training: Teach interest or professional development courses to staff and external clients to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Exhibition Design: Plan and develop permanent and temporary exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces, and other exhibitions.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Art or Fashion Design Experience: Proven experience in designing day or office wear, women's clothing, children's clothing, and men's clothing.
  • Area of Specialization: Clothing design.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and distinguish between colors.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, reliable, team player, and able to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
