Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Finance Department
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance
A Typical Day:
  • Manage all organizational accounts and investments.
  • Enhance financial asset returns and guide fiscal decisions by developing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting frameworks.
  • Formulate budgets by setting timelines; gathering, analyzing, and consolidating financial information, and providing recommendations.
  • Regularly review financial plans and budgets to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Thoroughly examine financial reports and data to identify discrepancies.
  • Deliver insights on financial status by collecting, interpreting, and presenting financial data.
  • Generate monthly and annual reports to highlight results, trends, and financial forecasts.
  • Oversee cash flow by monitoring transactions and reviewing internal reports consistently.
  • Supervise financial department personnel, including payroll and benefits specialists, accountants, and accounts receivable/payable coordinators.
  • Inspire and guide team members by clarifying roles and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Recommend enhancements and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
  • Ensure accurate recording, filing, and reporting of all financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to guarantee compliance with all regulations.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations as necessary.
  • Coordinate with banks, accountants, and external agencies as required.
  • Establish systems to minimize errors in data collection and calculations.
  • Report financial information to the President in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Engage in special projects and tasks as needed.
