As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in delivering and promoting our dental care program to children enrolled in the Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Dental Therapy Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Dental Therapist/Dentist during dental procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Provide fluoride treatments to clients, promoting good oral health and hygiene practices.
  • Develop and implement oral hygiene instruction programs, educating clients on proper brushing and flossing techniques.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations, ensuring seamless communication with clients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection protocols.
  • Implement infection control and sterilization procedures, upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, fostering positive relationships with clients and promoting a welcoming environment.
  • Perform general office duties, including administrative tasks and data entry.

Requirements:

  • Certification in Dental Assisting and registration with the Saskatchewan Dental Assistants' Association.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to speak Cree is a definite asset, as we strive to provide culturally sensitive care to our clients.
