About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Buyer to join our team at New Furniture Gallery. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality merchandise to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the retail industry.
  • Product Sourcing: Identify and select top-quality products from reputable suppliers to meet our customers' needs.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with our inventory team to ensure that our stores are well-stocked with the right products at the right time.
  • Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers to negotiate the best possible prices and terms.
  • Merchandise Planning: Collaborate with our buying team to develop and implement effective merchandise plans that meet our sales goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail buying or procurement role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
