Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Recreation Team Member to join our team at The Village of Taunton Mills. This part-time position offers 30 hours bi-weekly, including every other weekend. You will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team member, contributing to a positive and engaging environment for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Foster a resident-centered social culture that promotes well-being and connection.
  • Deliver high-quality recreational programs tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents.
  • Advocate for the needs and preferences of residents, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in recreation/leisure studies or gerontology.
  • Genuine passion for our Village philosophy and commitment to family values.
  • Caring and respectful attitude towards residents and colleagues.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Therapeutic Recreation domains and practices.
  • Understanding of recreational therapy principles within a long-term care setting.
  • Familiarity with the Long-Term Care Homes Act.
