About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Recreation Team Member to join our team at Schlegel Villages. As a key member of our Village team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality recreational programming to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and promote our resident-centered social culture, fostering a sense of community and belonging among residents.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to understand residents' individual needs and advocate for their participation in care decisions.
  • Develop and implement programs that contribute to residents' holistic health care goals, including physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and cognitive growth.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in or completed a diploma or degree in recreation/leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university.
  • Passionate about our Village philosophy and family values, with a caring and respectful attitude towards residents, families, and team members.
  • Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation and recreational therapy practices, methods, and techniques to improve residents' well-being and holistic health.
