Faculty Member

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Faculty Member to join our School of Trades and Transportation team. As a Faculty Member, you will be responsible for providing theoretical and practical instruction in the Metal Fabrication program.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver educational experiences for a diverse group of learners, including preparation, instruction, assessment, and evaluation of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, and participate in program marketing and promotion.
- Ensure health and safety practices and procedures are followed in the classroom, shops, and labs.
- Stay current with industry practices and developments, and contribute to the development of 21st-century teaching and learning practices.
- Participate in academic and career advisement, committee work, and other related duties.
- Minimum of five years of recent and related occupational experience in the Metal Fabrication industry.
- Inter-provincial Journeyperson Certification as a Metal Fabricator (Fitter) or equivalent.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW, and steel fabrication processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
- Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems.
