At Great Canadian Entertainment, we are seeking a dedicated Server to enhance our Food & Beverage division. If you thrive in a vibrant atmosphere and possess a passion for the Gaming, Food & Beverage, and Entertainment sectors, this role may be a perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inform guests about daily specials and promotions.
  • Provide detailed explanations of menu items and beverage preparations.
  • Take guest orders and offer thoughtful recommendations.
  • Serve food and beverages while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare food and drinks as necessary.
  • Address guest concerns or escalate to management when needed.
  • Present bills upon request and process payments in the absence of a cashier.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables and counters, including dish removal and restocking.
  • Execute opening and closing tasks as required.
  • Count cash float at the end of shifts when applicable.
  • Assist fellow servers by covering their sections as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all relevant operational departments.
  • Adhere to licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a serving role.
  • Possession of a Serving it Right Certificate.
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality or hotel management is an asset.
  • Ability to exceed customer expectations through effective communication.
  • Experience with POS systems and Squirrel is preferred.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and honesty.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check.
