Project Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  1. Offer direct assistance to the Canadian CSS Project Management Team and Area Manager.
  2. Adapt and respond effectively in a dynamic environment with frequent priority shifts while maintaining professionalism and focus for clients.
  3. Oversee the execution of CSS contracted deliverables, ensuring compliance with timelines, strategies, development processes, reviews, and final delivery.
  4. Conduct thorough monitoring of all Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and scheduling for CSS Elements, initiating Baseline Change Requests (BCR) and schedule modifications as needed to mitigate EVMS variances.
  5. Provide both direct and indirect support across the organization when CSS capabilities are required, ensuring all tasks are adequately funded and supported.
  6. Manage CSS vehicle assembly, modifications, retrofits, and testing, coordinating parts, vehicles, and equipment.
  7. Assist the training department with adjustments to customer schedules, funding alterations, supplier information, and various other tasks.
  8. Deliver comprehensive Internal and External Status and Metrics Reporting for CSS Elements.
  9. Offer support for Field Service Representatives (FSRs) who are deployed or stationed on-site.
  10. Prepare and present CSS-related materials for Program Reviews, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Management Team Meetings, and other senior leadership briefings as necessary.
  11. Lead the development of Contract Change Proposals (CCPs) and Bid & Proposals (B&P) activities, ensuring accurate tracking of hours, personnel, Other Direct Costs (ODCs), schedules, and Senior Management presentations.
  12. Assist in monitoring Contractor Acquired Property within CSS.
  13. Coordinate daily operations on Canadian Programs as required.
  14. Establish strong, trust-based relationships with the Canadian customer and program office through clear communication.
  15. Support customer needs for vehicle storage maintenance and exercises.
  16. Act as the primary contact for Project Management regarding all fielded vehicle Service Bulletins and Service Directives.
  17. Lead initiatives for any legacy variants requested by customers.
  18. Serve as the main contact for Customer Support Services Software Taskings from proposal, scheduling, and execution phases.
  19. Act as the primary contact for Customer Support Services Turret Taskings throughout the bidding, scheduling, and execution processes.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or College diploma.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in Program or Project Management, preferably in a defense contracting or military support context.
  3. Experience collaborating within a team and/or with customers.
  4. Strong skills in communication, presentation, organization, and prioritization.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Exhibit a positive attitude in complex situations, showing determination, flexibility, and resilience.
  8. Willingness to travel (5% within Canada, 5% to the US & International) and ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
  9. Must meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions for confined workspaces.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Over 5 years of experience in Project Management.
  2. Familiarity with GDLS-C's departments, structures, and objectives.
  3. Experience with CCP, B&P, and ROM processes.
  4. Understanding of Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) Systems and their Support/Sustainment.
  5. Basic knowledge of Earned Value Management principles.
