Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team at Home and Community Care Support Services. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients in their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans with patients under the direction of registered physiotherapists and occupational therapists
  • Assist registered therapists with patient assessments and treatment programs
  • Utilize technology to receive clinical support and implement treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote patient independence and well-being
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physiotherapy Assistant/Occupational Therapist Assistant diploma program
  • PTA/OTA certification recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Previous experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant in a healthcare setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse patient groups
