About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Technician to join our team at RBR Ltd. in a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation
  • Maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Service equipment to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations
  • Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports to support business operations
  • Write specifications to meet business requirements
  • Assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components to ensure quality and reliability
  • Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and precision
  • Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications to support product development
  • Collect and compile operational or experimental data to inform business decisions
  • Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems to ensure smooth operations
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems
  • Complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Supervise laboratory activities to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
  • Perform preventive maintenance to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and precision
  • Complete test and maintenance reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Calibrate components and instruments to ensure accuracy and precision
  • Apply chemicals to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Check, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance to equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Operate, monitor, maintain, calibrate, and test equipment to ensure smooth operations
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Maintain laboratory equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Interpret conductivity meters and visual indicators to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
Requirements
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Experience with temperature, pressure, flow, and level instruments
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and data analysis software
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Windows
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
